Tracking with an H/sup/spl infin// Criterion - Decision and Control, 1997., Proceedings of the 36th IEEE Conference on

چکیده
In this paper we study the problem of tracking a reference signal from the H" point, of view. As opposed to general Woo problems, whcrc only suboptimal solutions are obtained, wc show that for both the full information arid measurement, feedback tracking problems the H""-optimal solutions can be explicitly found. The results also indicate an interesting dichotomy between minimum phase and non-minimum phase plants: for minimum phase plants the best causal tracker performs as well as the best noncausal tracker, whereas for nonminimum phase plants, causal trackers cannot reduce the H" norms from their a priori values. We also mention some remedies for the non-minimum phase case, such as adding more actuators (control inputs) or allowing for some finite delay. For causal tracking of nonminimum phase plants, we show that a delay equal to at, least the number of non-minimum phase zeros of the plant is required.

Multi-Objective Hybrid Controller Synthesis: Least Restrictive Controls - Decision and Control, 1997., Proceedings of the 36th IEEE Conference on
We present a methodcllogy for synthesizing hybrid controllers that meet multiple control objectives. Our methodology uses game theoretic techniques to classify all controls that can be used to meet the high priority objectives. Lower priority objectives are then optimized within this class.

متن کاملNonlinear systems which have finite-dimensional /spl Hscr//sub /spl infin// suboptimal central contr - Decision and Control, 1993., Proceedings of the 32nd IEEE Conference on
Following up the work of Bqar and Bernhard [2], we have recently derived in [12] the nonlinear central controller solving the nonlinear (standard) 31, suboptimal control problem. This nonlinear central controller is an infinite-dimensional system, and resembles very much the solution in nonlinear stochastic filtering or nonlinear deterministic filtering. After showing that in the linearcase the...
متن کاملSome Interestkg Problems in Systems Theory which are of Fundamental Importance in Coding Theory
The paper explains in a tutorial way some major research questions in the area of convolutional coding theory from a perspective of systems theory. We show that those questions are related to some classical control problems e.g. the quadratic regulator problem and the tracking problem. We also report on some code constructions which were derived by techniques from systems theory Proceedings of ...
متن کاملUse of integrator in nonlinear H, design for disturbance rejectiona
The disturbance suppression problem for nonlinear systems is examined in this paper. We review the so-called nonstandard mixed sensitivity problem, which introduces an integrator to a selected weight, as well as the linear classical disturbance suppression problem and the linear H, disturbance suppression problem. We extend this H, problem to the nonlinear case, and present a method to reduce t...
